Born in the unremarkable nation of Belgium on 15th October 1996, Charly Musonda was a forward who conveniently found himself on the right wing. Measuring in at 5ft 8in and tipping the scales at 10st 5lb, he wasn't what you'd call an imposing figure.
As it happens, Musonda last graced the pitch with Levante UD, a mid-table Spanish outfit. In the 2022 - 2023 season, he managed to trot out for first team duties on 17 occasions. Not too shabby for a player of his stature.
Before his Spanish jaunt, Musonda had a brief stint with Vitesse in the Netherlands. His first team appearances were rather limited during 2019 - 2020 season, totalling three measly times. In the previous season? He cracked the first team lineup once. Aye, just the once.
Ah, but before all that, the lad arrived at Celtic. He managed a whopping four first team appearances in the 2017-2018 season. Considering his convoy of clubs, Celtic was just another check on his list.
Speakin' of which, Musonda also had a spell at Chelsea down in England, in the same season when he was at our club. Miraculously, he racked up a grand total of three first team appearances. Quite a memorable year, that.
Finally, Musonda kicked off his exciting football career at Real Betis in sunny Spain. Here, he showed some sparks in his debut season (2015-2016) with 16 first team appearances and a solitary goal. In the following season, he made eight outings. As it turned out, Betis was more fond of him than any club that followed.
