Connor McManus joined the Celtic Youth Academy in 2005 and has progressed since then throughout the age levels.
Usually operating in central midfield, the teenager is also comfortable dropping back into central defence.
Since breaking into the Under-20s, the young Celt has featured prominently, helping the squad to a fifth consecutive league title.
The youngster would then become a YouTube sensation after his starring role in the UEFA Youth League, saw him score arguably the goal of the tournament – a spectacular 40-yard lob against AC Milan.
Having struggled with injuries throughout the 2014/15 season, McManus returned in fine form to the Celtic midfield.
The captain would play an important role in the final of the Scottish Youth Cup as Celtic ran out 5-2 winners against city rivals Rangers.
On 24 March 2017 McManus signed on an emergency loan deal at Queen of the South and returned to Celtic at the end of the 2016-17 season. After he was released by Celtic, McManus signed a six-month contract with Greenock Morton in July 2017.
