Daniel Arzani

Daniel Arzani of Melbourne Victory was born in Khorramabad, Iran on 4 January 1999 (age 25)

Daniel Arzani is a footballer born in Iran on the 4th of January, 1999, currently 25 years old. Primarily playing as a right winger, his current home is Melbourne Victory. His sturdy physique is made evident by his height of 5ft 7in (1.71m) and his weight of 11st 6lb (73kg). Known for his swift movements in the number 7 jersey, Arzani has also had the honour of representing the Australia U23 national team.

As reported by Transfermarkt, Arzani has a market value estimated around £423k, adjusted from a currency figure of €500k. His contract with Melbourne Victory, is due to expire on 30th June, 2025, with barely 9 months left.

Arzani started his football career at Melbourne City in the A-League in Australia back in July, 2016 as a trainee. After making six first-team appearances in his debut season (2016 - 2017), he further established himself the following season by making 16 appearances and even scored two goals in league matches.

In August, 2018, Arzani transferred from Melbourne City to Manchester City in the Premier League in England for an undisclosed amount. However, the same month saw Arzani being loaned out to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, where he made just one first-team appearance in the 2018 - 2019 season.

Detailing on his tenancy at Celtic, it could be summed up as a less than stellar chapter of Arzani's career. In the 2018 - 2019 season, he made a rather uninspiring outing with a single first-team appearance in league matches. It was a short stint at Celtic Park for Arzani that didn't quite realise the potential that Manchester City saw in him when they opted to secure his services.

His football journey didn't stop there, as in August 2020 he was loaned to FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie in the Netherlands, where he made four first-team appearances. In January 2021, Arzani was on the move again, this time to AGF Aarhus in the Superliga in Denmark on loan – a brief stay that saw him make just three first-team appearances.

In August 2021, Arzani was loaned to Lommel in the Challenger Pro League in Belgium. By July 2022, he was moved again, this time to Macarthur FC in the A-League in Australia. In his season with Macarthur FC, Arzani made 19 first-team appearances and managed to net the ball once in league matches.

In July 2023, Arzani returned to his roots by transferring to Melbourne Victory in the A-League in Australia. With 27 first team appearances and four scored goals, his 2023 - 2024 season showed a remarkable upturn. For the ongoing 2024 - 2025 season, however, Arzani has not yet been able to make a first-team appearance.
