Danish stopper Erik Sviatchenko joined Celtic from FC Midtjylland as Ronny Deila’s first acquisition of the 2016 January transfer window.
The 24-year-old centre-half captained his former side to the Danish Superliga title in 2015 and led them to the knockout stages of the Europa League but joined the Bhoys on a four and a half year deal after a total of 10 years at Midtjylland.
Capable of playing at left-back as well as in the middle of defence, Sviatchenko has appeared for his national side and has one international goal to his name.
