Lewis Toshney, a Scottish native born on the 26th of April 1992, is an established football defender. He's currently associated with Downfield FC and primarily plays as a central defender. Being 6ft 2in (1.9 m) tall and weighing 11st 9lb (74 kg) gives Toshney a commanding presence on the pitch.
In July 2009, Toshney progressed from being a trainee to making his first debut with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. The promising youngster made a promising start, making his first appearance for the first team in league matches in the 2010 - 2011 season.
It was during his time at Celtic, the Scottish Premiership giants, Toshney earned his stripes. Initially loaned out to Kilmarnock in January 2012, he accomplished 12 first-team appearances in league matches for the 2011 - 2012 season.
Building on this momentum, Toshney was again entrusted with a loan, this time to Dundee in August 2012. At Dundee, in the Scottish Premiership, Toshney made a significant impact by contributing to 23 first team appearances in the league matches of the 2012 - 2013 season.
However, a steady stream of transfers was to follow. In September 2014, Toshney, swapped Celtic for Ross County in the Scottish Premiership. He made nine appearances in the first team in the league matches during the 2014 - 2015 season.
January 2015 saw Toshney loaned to Cowdenbeath in the Lowland League. In this stint, he scored his first goal in the league matches and made 13 first-team appearances in the 2014 - 2015 season.
From there, Toshney was transferred to Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship in July 2015 where he put away two goals and registered 31 first team appearances in the 2015 - 2016 season.
Later, he joined Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership in July 2016 for an undisclosed sum. He made 20 and 4 first team appearances in the league matches in the 2016 - 2017 and 2017 - 2018 seasons, respectively. But he was transferred on loan to Arbroath in the League One in July 2018, and then loaned again to Brechin City in the Highland League in January 2019.
Eventually, Toshney made a permanent move from Dundee United to Falkirk in the Championship in July 2019. From there, he moved to Inverness CT in League One in January 2020, then to Edinburgh City in League Two in July 2021.
By November 2021, Toshney transferred from Edinburgh City to Downfield in the Junior Teams in Scotland. As of now, in the 2024 - 2025 season at Downfield, Toshney hasn't yet made any appearances for the first team in league matches.
