Luis Palma, a forward hailing from Honduras, was born on the 17th of January 2000, which makes him 25 years of age. His preferred position on the field is as a left winger, a role he often fulfils for Celtic Football Club. At 1.75m (or 5ft 8in), he cuts a robust figure, and his weight of 71kg (equivalent to 11st 2lb) only adds to his physical prowess. Besides his commitment to Celtic, Palma also represents his home country on the international football front.
In terms of his value on the market, Palma is estimated to be worth around £2.5m as per Transfermarkt. His time with Celtic, though, is seemingly on the verge of cusp, with his contract set to expire on 30 June 2025, merely a month away.
Tracing his journey in the operative field, it reveals Palma left Honduras' Vida in January 2022, to join Greece's Aris FC. During the season of 2021-2022, he made a modest contribution with 11 appearances and a pair of league goals. However, the following season in 2022-2023 saw his productivity surge as he found the back of the net on 11 occasions from 29 first-team appearances.
Celtic identified the Honduran's potential and in August of 2023, brought him to the Scottish Premiership for a sum close to £3.4m. He delivered a commendable performance in his inaugural season, featuring in 28 first-team matches and netting seven goals. His journey at Celtic, however, was relatively short-lived, and in February 2025, he was loaned out to Olympiacos in Greece.
Despite these transfers, Palma’s stint at Celtic has left a significant imprint. He participated in the Champions League 2023-2024, scoring a couple of memorable goals across four starts and a subsitute game. He was also a significant player in the League Cup 2024-2025 for Celtic, making a start and a substitute appearance. Finally, he made a further two appearances as a substitute in the Champions League 2024-2025. Despite his travels, Luis Palma's time at Celtic will undoubtedly be remembered fondly by the Celtic faithful.
