French forward Moussa Dembele, born 12th July 1996, currently finds himself plying his trade with Al-Ettifaq. Standing at a height of six feet, or 1.83m for those of that metric persuasion, he carries a weight of 12st 6lb, or 79kg.
Dembele's journey to Al-Ettifaq commenced in July of 2012 when he joined Fulham, making his tentative steps into the Premier League. His debut season 2013 - 2014 was a modest one, with two appearances in league matches. Development continued with 11 appearances in the 2014 - 2015 season. However, in the 2015 - 2016 season, he established a first-team place with 43 appearances and contributed significantly with 15 goals in league matches.
In 2016 Dembele moved north to Celtic for £500k. His first season was potent as he appeared 29 times in league matches and netted 17 goals. The 2017 - 2018 season saw him have 25 appearances and claim nine goals. By the last season with Celtic, he made a solitary first team appearance, capping off a serviceable stint with the club.
In a significant uptick in value, he was sold to Lyon for a reported fee of £20m in August of 2018. At Lyon, he made 33 appearances and scored 15 goals in his maiden season. The subsequent season had him with 27 appearances coupled with 16 goals. In the 2020 - 2021 period, his output diminished with 16 appearances and a single goal. Falling on better form in the 2021 - 2022 season, he registered 30 appearances and 21 goals, and in the 2022 - 2023 season, he made 23 appearances scoring three goals.
January 2021 seen an opportunity for a fresh challenge as he moved to Atletico Madrid in the LaLiga, albeit on loan. His Spanish endeavour was brief with five appearances in the 2020 - 2021 season, before he returned to Lyon to conclude his productive spell with the French side.
The most recent move in Dembele's career came in July 2023 as he ventured to the Professional League in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq. At the time of writing, the current 2024 - 2025 season has yielded 19 appearances and a tally of seven goals.
