At the ripe age of 18, in July 2016, Klimala embarked on his professional football journey. His first stint was with Jagiellonia Bialystok in the Ekstraklasa in Poland. During his 2018 - 2019 season at Jagiellonia Bialystok, Klimala hit the field 22 times and scored one goal. In January 2020, Celtic in the Scottish Premiership became the next chapter in Klimala's career. He transferred from Jagiellonia Bialystok for a solid sum of around £3.5m.
