Beram Kayal, is an accomplished midfielder born on the 2nd of May, 1988, in Israel. At present, he applies his trade for Bnei Sakhnin, operating mainly as a central defensive midfielder. With a height of 5ft 10in (1.78m) and weighing 11st 9lb (74kg), Kayal dons the number 22 jersey for his team.
Kayal's professional career started in July 2006 when he joined Maccabi Haifa in the Israeli Premier League. The real turning point in his career, however, was in July 2010 when he transferred to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership for a fee close to £1.3 million. Although his debut season (2010-2011) saw him make 21 first team appearances, scoring two goals in league matches, it was in his subsequent seasons where Kayal became a regular feature for the Hoops.
During the 2011-2012 season, Kayal made 19 first team appearances, established his role in the team, and grew as a player. The following 2012-2013 season was Kayal's most productive at Celtic, racking up 27 first team appearances. While his appearances diminished in the following seasons (13 appearances in 2013-2014 and six in 2014-2015), this does not negate Kayal's contributions and role in the team during his time at Celtic.
In January 2015, Kayal moved to Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League for an undisclosed fee. His time at Brighton & Hove was marked by periods of regular play. The 2014-2015 season saw him make 18 first team appearances, followed by his most frequent season of play, 2015-2016, with 43 appearances and two goals. Subsequently, his appearances dropped to 20 and 19 in the next two seasons, before returning to 18 appearances in the 2018-2019 season.
A brief and not particularly noteworthy loan spell at Charlton Athletic in England's League One was sandwiched between his time at Brighton & Hove. During the 2019-2020 season at Charlton, Kayal made a total of six first team appearances.
Kayal returned to playing at Brighton & Hove Albion regularly upon completion of his loan at Charlton Athletic. However, his time at Brighton & Hove Albion came to an end in July 2020. Finally, in November 2020, Kayal returned to his homeland, signing with Bnei Sakhnin in the Israeli Premier League. Up to the 2024-2025 season, Kayal has yet to make a first team appearance for Bnei Sakhnin.
