Born on the chilly day of November 23, 1998, in the Republic of Ireland, our hero Caoimhin Kelleher graced the earth. As a man entering his prime at 26 years of age, he currently tends goal for the Brentford side, having previously spun his web between the sticks for Liverpool. A towering presence in goal, Kelleher measures a formidable 1.88 metres (roughly 6ft 2in) in height, while his weight, a healthy 81kg (or about 12st 10lb), gives him the requisite heft to dominate his penalty area.
His career kicked off at Liverpool, where, in the 2020 - 2021 season, he enjoyed his first taste of the first team, making two appearances. Proving that good things come in twos for our young man, the following season of 2021 - 2022 saw him make another two appearances for the storied Merseyside club. 2022 - 2023 was a quieter year, with a single first team appearance under his belt, before Kelleher ramped up in the 2023 - 2024 season with ten appearances in the first team. The current season of 2024 - 2025 has seen this trend continue, with Kelleher already boasting ten first team appearances in Liverpool colours.
However, despite finding a new home at Brentford in the 2024 - 2025 season, Kelleher has yet to break into the first team, indicating that perhaps he is still finding his feet at the London club.
Not just a club stalwart, Kelleher has also made his mark on the international stage, representing the Republic of Ireland with distinction. This is perhaps best exemplified in his participation in the Nations League 2024 - 2025, where he was trusted with the starting goalkeeper position for eight of his country's matches.
