Born on the 24th of August 1995 in Northern Ireland, Conor McMenamin is a forward known mainly for his prowess as a right winger. Currently plying his trade for St Mirren at the age of 29, he is a physical presence on the field, standing at 6 feet (1.83m) tall and tipping the scales at 11st 2lb (71kg). He proudly dons the number 10 on his back.
His footballing journey began back in July 2012 when he first signed for Linfield, a team in the Northern Irish Premiership. Despite being given limited opportunities in his debut 2012 - 2013 season with only four first team appearances in league matches, Conor remained resilient. His second season at the club saw a near-similar performance, with him making three first team appearances, keeping the player motivated despite physical barriers.
Opportunity knocked in July 2015, as Conor transferred from Linfield to Glentoran. In his first season (2015 - 2016) at his new club, Conor saw more game time, making 17 first team appearances and scoring one goal. Fast forward to season 2022 - 2023, and it was evident Conor was settling in, taking his tally to 28 first team appearances and ten stunning goals.
In July 2016, Conor continued his Northern Irish journey and transferred from Glentoran to Warrenpoint Town - a team in Northern Ireland's First Division. Here he made 21 appearances in the 2017 - 2018 season, scoring five goals.
A significant turning point in Conor's career occurred in July 2018 when he transferred from Warrenpoint Town to Cliftonville in the Northern Irish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. This move was followed by another undisclosed transfer to Glentoran in January 2021. During his second stint at Glentoran, Conor had a memorable 2022 - 2023 season with 28 first team appearances and a commendable tally of ten goals.
Eventually, in July 2023, Conor left his homeland for the Scottish Premiership - signing with St Mirren for a bargain fee of £130k. He adapted quickly to his new surroundings, making 27 first team appearances and scoring one goal in the 2023 - 2024 season; though his start in the current 2024 - 2025 season has been quiet, with no first team appearances in league matches yet. However, Conor did take part in the Scottish Cup for St Mirren in the 2023 - 2024 season, further establishing his presence in the Scottish football scene.
