Daniel Armstrong, born 11th of October 1997 in Scotland, is a 27-year-old forward, currently plying his trade with Kilmarnock Football Club. He primarily assumes the role of a right winger and wears the jersey number 11. Standing 5ft 8in tall (1.75m) and weighing in at 10st 3lb (65kg), Armstrong's size mirrors his style of play.
Armstrong's career trajectory took off as he joined Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Championship in July 2014. His talent, despite being raw and untested, caught the attention of Wolverhampton Wanderers of England's Premier League, who acquired his services in October 2015.
However, the step up proved challenging for Armstrong initially. In search of more game time, a loan deal facilitated his move to Dunfermline Athletic, another team dwelling in the Scottish Championship, in January 2018. The same year, in November, Armstrong's career witnessed some roller-coaster events as he was transferred from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Raith Rovers, operating in the same competition he once started off.
Upon boosting his profile and performance, Armstrong took the leap to the Scottish Premiership, signing for Ross County in January 2019. A brief spell away from Ross County occurred in September of that same year, after which Armstrong rejoined Raith Rovers in the Championship in the following month.
Continuing his professional pursuit, Armstrong moved again in July 2021, this time to Kilmarnock. His debut season at Kilmarnock (2022 - 2023) saw him make 37 first-team appearances and net nine goals in league matches. He continued to be a regular in the line-up during the next season (2023 - 2024), making 38 appearances and scoring six goals. In the current season (2024 - 2025), Armstrong has already made 11 first-team league appearances.
Apart from his league exploits, Armstrong was part of the squad that participated in the Scottish Cup 2023 - 2024 for Kilmarnock, contributing two goals in two starts and one substitute appearance. He also played in the Europa League Qualifiers 2024 - 2025 (with two starts) and Conference League Qualifiers 2024 - 2025 (with three starts along with an appearance as a substitute).
