Daniel Gazdag, born on 2 March 1996 in Hungary, serves primarily as a central attacking midfielder for Philadelphia Union. Now 28, he stands at 6ft (1.84m) and weighs around 12st 3lb (78kg). Known for donning the number 10 jersey, Gazdag also enjoys the honour of representing his national team, Hungary.
It was in July 2014 when Gazdag commenced his professional footballing journey with Budapest Honvéd, a club competing in Hungary's Nemzeti Bajnokság II. His debut season (2014-2015) with Budapest Honvéd saw him making 12 first team appearances in league matches. The subsequent 2015-2016 season continued to build his profile as he appeared 24 times for the first team in league matches. His involvement remained consistent in the 2016-2017 season as he made 32 appearances.

The 2023 season mirrored his consistency with 14 goals from 32 appearances, a performance he maintained in the 2024 season with 17 goals from 29 appearances.
Moreover, Gazdag's talent transcended to the international level as well. He participated in Euro 2024 for Hungary, coming off the bench once. During the Euro Qualifiers for 2022-2024, he secured three starts and made one substitute appearance for Hungary. In the MLS Cup Playoffs of 2023, he netted a goal in three starts for Philadelphia Union. His contribution in MLS 2024 was noteworthy with a staggering tally of 17 goals from 27 starts. Added to this, he was also part of the Nations League 2024-2025 for Hungary where he made a substitute appearance, and the CONCACAF Champions Cup 2024 for Philadelphia Union, delivering four solid starts.
