Dedryck Boyata is a Belgian footballer, born on 28 November 1990 (age 34). Boyata's role on the pitch is primarily as a central defender for Club Brugge. As a robust defender, he stands at an imposing 6ft 2in (1.88m) and weighs 13st 3lb (84kg). He is currently wearing the number 28 jersey for his team.

Before joining Club Brugge, Boyata made his debut in English football in July 2009 when he joined Manchester City, where he made sparing appearances across multiple seasons. In a significant career move, Boyata transferred from Manchester City to Celtic in July 2015 for a fee of around £1.5m.
