Born on the 12th of July 1994, Croatia's own Dino Peric is an influential stalwart on the football pitch. This 30-year-old defender predominantly plies his trade in a central role for Dinamo Zagreb. Indeed, his vitals of 6ft 5in (1.98m), combined with a weight of 14st 6lb (92kg), give him an imposing presence.
With a market value hovering around a respectable €2.00m - equating to approximately £1.7m in the old currency, it's easy to see why Peric is sought after by many. According to Transfermarkt, the defender's contract with Dinamo Zagreb has a good stretch left, with an expiry date set for 15 June 2026, which is a further 1 year and 7 months down the line.
In February 2014, Peric was sent over from Dinamo Zagreb to Lokomotiva Zagreb on a loan agreement. This would mark the start of an adventure involving multiple shifts between the two Croatian clubs. His debut season (2013 - 2014) at Lokomotiva entailed a modest three first-team league appearances, but this turned to a more impactful eight in the following season. Notably, in the 2015 - 2016 period, he appeared 22 times and netted the ball once. A significant drop in appearances followed in 2016 - 2017.
June 2014 saw Peric return to his old club Dinamo Zagreb, following the completion of his loan at Lokomotiva. He would retain this association until January 2015, when he swapped allegiances and rejoined Lokomotiva. His second coming to Lokomotiva mimicked the earlier stint, starting slow with limited appearances and progressing to a frequent run on the field, even managing to score a goal in the 2015 - 2016 season. However, by the end of the 2016 - 2017 season, his appearances had drastically reduced.
It wasn't long before Peric was back at Dinamo Zagreb, this time around though, he had been transferred to Dinamo Zagreb B in July 2015. However, a month later saw him switch back to Lokomotiva for an undisclosed fee. Peric again went through a roller-coaster ride of fluctuating appearances and a single goal in the 2015 - 2016 season.
The Zagreb merry-go-round continued, with Peric being loaned to Dinamo Zagreb in August 2016. This spell included steady appearances and a commendable three goals in the 2022 - 2023 season. The defender, however, saw his appearances dwindling in the following years. Upon the loan's termination in June 2017, Peric returned to Lokomotiva, but by July 2017 he found himself back at Dinamo Zagreb where he presently resides.
Apart from his national exploits, Peric also featured in the international stage with Dinamo Zagreb in the Conference League for the 2023 - 2024 season. Over the six matches in the starting line-up, he managed to score once, underlining his capabilities in both the defensive and offensive parts of the pitch.
