Veteran goalkeeper Dorus de Vries joined Celtic on Saturday August 13 as Brendan Rodgers’ fourth signing of the summer.

The Dutch stopper penned a two year deal with the Scottish champions to provide competition for Hoops No.1 Craig Gordon after back-up goalie Logan Bailly was sidelined in the summer with a long-term injury.

De Vries, formerly of Nottingham Forest, previously played in Scotland with Dunfermline before moving to Swansea City where he worked under the current the Celtic boss when he took over the Welsh side as manager in 2010.

After four years with the Swans, de Vries joined Wolves and spent two years there before joining Forest where was voted Player of the Year by the fans last season.
