Eamonn Brophy

Eamonn Brophy

Eamonn Brophy of Ross County was born in Cleland, Scotland on 10 March 1996 (age 28)

Eamonn Brophy, a native of Scotland, first saw the sun on 10 March 1996, making him 28 years young. He's a footballer by trade who mostly plays forward as a striker for Ross County. In terms of his physicals, he stands at 5ft 10in (1.78m) and weighs in at a lean 10st 9lb (68kg). If you're looking for him on the field, he's the lad in the number 27 jersey.

As of now, he's estimated to have a market value of around £345k, based on conversion from Euros, according to Transfermarkt. His stint with Ross County could end sooner than later, as his contract has a meagre 8 months left and is scheduled to expire on 31 May 2025.

His career began back in January 2013. Fresh-faced and eager to impress, Brophy joined Hamilton Academical in Scotland's Championship league. He cut his teeth in the first season, marking one goal from a single appearance. Over the next few years, his presence on the field gradually grew from seven appearances in the 2013 - 2014 season to a peak of 28 appearances in the 2016 - 2017 season. His strike rate varied, with four goals in his 2015 - 2016 season being his most prolific period at Hamilton.

During the same period, he had brief spells at Queen's Park and Dumbarton on loan. At Queen's Park in the 2013 - 2014 season, he made his time count with seven goals from nine appearances. Meanwhile, his performance at Dumbarton in the 2015 - 2016 season yielded a goal from ten appearances.

In August 2017, Brophy swapped the colours of Hamilton Academical for Kilmarnock's, for an undisclosed fee, in the Scottish Premiership. His playing time remained consistent but he found more scoring success, including a decent haul of 11 goals in the 2018 - 2019 season. After three and a half seasons with Kilmarnock, Brophy filled in a loan transfer form to St Mirren, where he continued to put in regular appearances.

Brophy's loan to St Mirren turned into a full transfer in July 2021. However, this arrangement was short-lived as he was sent off to Ross County on another loan deal in January 2023. This too turned into a permanent fixture in July 2023 as he transferred from St Mirren to Ross County, the fee, as usual, kept under wraps. At his current club, he's been gradually making his mark, with three goals scored from 25 appearances in the 2023-2024 season.

He's also had his hand in League Cup 2024 - 2025 for Ross County, scoring one goal in three starts with two appearances as a substitute, and the Scottish Cup 2023 - 2024 for Ross County, with a single appearance as a substitute.
