Éderson dos Santos, born on the 7th of July, 1999 in Brazil, is currently a commanding presence in the Atalanta midfield. The 6-foot (1.83m) tall central midfielder, tipping the scales at 13st 7lb (86kg), is famed for his on-field performances in the enviable number 13 jersey. Away from his club commitments at Atalanta, Éderson has seen international football action, proudly representing his native Brazil.

Éderson began his professional journey at Desportivo Brasil before moving to Cruzeiro in July 2018. His début season at Cruzeiro was somewhat subdued, with the Brazilian making a grand total of five first team appearances. Despite the slow start, things picked up significantly in the following campaign with Éderson making 21 appearances and netting two goals.
In a swift change of scene in February 2020, Éderson swapped Cruzeiro for fellow Brazilian outfit Corinthians. His time here was limited to a solitary season though, where he accrued 15 appearances for the club.

Atalanta would be his next professional home in July 2022, acquired at a cost of around £19m from Salernitana. His three seasons at Atalanta have seen Éderson go from strength to strength: 35 appearances and a goal in the first season, followed by 36 appearances and six goals in his second. The current season has seen him make eight appearances to date, with a single goal to his name so far.
Éderson's club performances have also seen him feature significantly in international competitions. These include stints at the Europa League 2023 - 2024 edition, where he netted a goal in his 11 starts and one substitute appearance for Atalanta, got a single start in the UEFA Super Cup 2024 - 2025, and represented Brazil in the Copa America 2024. However, his crowning glory was undoubtedly the three starts he had in the esteemed Champions League 2024 - 2025 season while proudly donning the Atalanta colours.
