Efraín Juárez, born 22 February 1988, is a football player from Mexico who specialised as a right back during his career. He stands at 5ft 10in (1.8m) and weighs 11 stone (70kg).
Juárez embarked on his professional football journey in January 2008, joining Liga MX's Pumas UNAM in his home country, Mexico. In his debut season (2008-2009), he made an impressive 34 league appearances for the first team. He continued his solid performance through the next season (2009-2010), making 25 first team league appearances.
In July 2010, Juárez transferred from Liga MX to Scottish Premiership club Celtic for a transfer fee of approximately £2.5m. His time in Celtic during the 2010-2011 season, however, was rather short-lived; he made only 13 first team appearances in league matches.
By July 2011, Juárez found himself in Spain, having been loaned to Real Zaragoza in the Spanish Segunda División. Here, his 2011-2012 season witnessed him making 15 league appearances and scoring a goal for the first team.
Juárez then returned to Mexico, transferring from Celtic to America in Liga MX in July 2012, for an undisclosed fee. His performance during the 2012-2013 season was rather lukewarm, with him making only six first team league appearances.
July 2013 saw Juárez transfer from America to Monterrey, another Liga MX team in Mexico, for an undisclosed fee. Juárez's time in Monterrey was notably longer and more fruitful. He played four seasons with the club, making substantial first team contributions and occasionally finding the back of the net.
His stint with Monterrey ended in January 2018, when he made a move to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the USA. Here, he made 16 first team league appearances in the 2018 season.
In March 2019, Juárez crossed over to Europe once more, transferring from the Vancouver Whitecaps to Norway's OBOS-ligaen side, Valerenga. In his 2019 season at Valerenga, he played 19 league matches for the first team.
Juárez's football journey post-Valerenga remains undetermined as he moved from the Norwegian club in December 2019.
