Ellery Balcombe, an English goalkeeper, was born on the 15th of October, 1999, making him 25 years old. Currently, he plays for St Mirren in Scotland, wearing the rightful number 1 jersey in his role as goalkeeper. Standing at a sturdy 6ft 3in (1.91m) and weighing a substantial 13st 3lb (84kg), Balcombe is a strong presence between the goalposts.
Balcombe's football career began fervently at a young age. He joined Brentford in the Premier League as a trainee in July 2016. Varied experiences followed as Balcombe ventured from Brentford to various teams across England on loan. His first move was to Boreham Wood in the National League South in August 2018, returning to Brentford in January 2019.
This pattern continued for a couple of years. In September 2019, he went to Viborg in the Superliga in Denmark and returned from his overseas experience to Brentford in January 2020. Balcombe was then loaned to Doncaster Rovers in League Two in January 2021, and returned from the loan in June 2021. In quick succession, he was loaned out to Burton Albion in League One in July 2021, but went back to Brentford in January 2022. In the same month, he moved again, this time to Bromley in League Two, returning in June 2022.
For the 2022-2023 season, Balcombe was on loan at Crawley Town in League One, where he made ten first team league appearances. In January 2023, he was transferred on loan to Bristol Rovers in League One, where he managed to make five first team appearances. By June 2023, he was back at Brentford again.
Eventually, a new opportunity arose as Balcombe got a loan move further north to St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership in July 2024. Currently, in the 2024-2025 season, he has made eight first league appearances playing for St Mirren. Alongside, he has made a notable mark in the League Cup and Conference League Qualifiers, starting one and four matches respectively for St Mirren.
