Enrico Annoni was born on 1 July 1966 in Italy. The 5ft 10in defender, who tips the scales at 13st, has held the number 17 jersey close to his heart.
He kicked off his career donning Seregno's colours in the 1982-83 season, racking up 27 appearances on the field that year.
Annoni then turned out for Como during the 1983-84 season, but had quite a dreary stint with just two appearances on record. To add insult to injury, his time on the pitch was non-existent during the following 1984-85 season.
Shaking off his Como blues, Annoni sprang back into action with Sambenedettese. The two-year stay turned fruitful, as he made 60 appearances and netted four goals between 1985-87.
He returned to Como for another three seasons, making 95 appearances and finding the back of the net twice during his second stint between 1987-90.
Next up was Torino, where Annoni stayed until 1995. Over his five-year tenure, he made 127 appearances across league and cup ties but managed to net only twice.
His stint at Roma for two seasons resulted in 35 appearances. He played it safe with zero goals to his credit.
Crossing into Scottish territories, Annoni capped off his career with the Celts. Making 37 appearances over three seasons between 1996-99, the Italian didn't exhibit any goal scoring prowess on the Scottish greens.
The career of Enrico Annoni was a tale of courage and tentative goalscoring, spread across Italy and Scotland. Although not a man who peppered the goalmouth with shots, he held his ground in defence, earning his keep.
