Evander Sno was born on 9th April, 1987 in the Netherlands. The 37 year old commands the midfield, primarily playing as a central defensive asset for DHSC Utrecht. Standing at a towering 6 feet 2 inches (1.89m) tall and a solid 13 stone 9 pounds (87kg) in weight, Sno is a formidable presence in his preferred role.
Sno's professional journey began at Feyenoord. He found himself moving on loan to NAC Breda in his homeland in January 2006, making 14 first team appearances during the 2005-2006 season.
In June 2006, Sno transferred from Feyenoord to Celtic, the famed Scottish Premiership club, for a fee of approximately £85,000. At Celtic, he established himself as a solid contributor to the team, making 18 first team appearances and scoring one goal in his debut 2006-2007 season. The subsequent season saw Sno make 12 first team appearances for the Hoops.
Evander Sno's tenure at Celtic is reflective of the player's growth and prowess in the two seasons that he graced the Scottish Premiership. Having been repositioned in the defensive midfield, Sno demonstrated tenacity in his game that resonated well with the Celtic faithful. His departure from Celtic in August 2008 for a fee of around £1.2 million to Ajax, confirms the hike in his market value, attesting to his development at Celtic Park.
Back in the Netherlands at Ajax, he continued to exhibit his capabilities with 11 first team appearances and one goal in the 2008-2009 season before a loan move to Bristol City in September 2009 saw him net three goals in 24 appearances.
Several more chapters were yet to be written in Evander Sno's career. Post-Bristol City, he returned to Ajax at the end of his loan before traverses around the Dutch Eredivisie with RKC Waalwijk and NEC Nijmegen. He then switched to Westerlo in the Belgian Pro League in June 2014.
Hopping to different clubs didn't deter Sno's performance. His career espouses stints of continuous first team appearances and goal contributions, notably at RKC Waalwijk where across several seasons he made a significant impact.
Sno joined his current club, DHSC Utrecht, in July 2017 after departing from RKC Waalwijk. As of the ongoing 2024-2025 season, he is yet to make a first team appearance for the Dutch Hoofdklasse side.
