Grant Savoury, born on 7 July 2000, is a 24 year old Scottish-born footballer. Savoury's primary position on the pitch is that of a central attacking midfielder, for Queen's Park in the Scottish Championship where he dons the number 10 shirt. Standing at 1.71m (5ft 7in) and weighing 64kg (10st 1lb), Savoury is known for his agility and ability to quickly manoeuvre the ball across the field.
In July 2018, Savoury began his professional career at Celtic, joining them as a trainee in the Scottish Premiership. This marked the start of his two-year tenure with the club, during which he honed his skills and gained valuable experience playing at the top level of Scottish football. His time at Celtic was not without its trials, however.
In January 2020, in the midst of his spell at Celtic, Savoury was loaned out to Edinburgh City in League Two. After six months honing his craft in the lower leagues he returned to Celtic in June of the same year and continued his development for another year and a half.
His journey took a new turn in October 2021, when he transferred from Celtic to Peterhead, another League Two side. Despite the move to a lower division, Savoury continued to showcase his abilities and drew the attention of Queen's Park, which plays in the Championship, the second highest level of the Scottish football league system.
In July 2022, Savoury made the move to Queen's Park, and his debut season with the club was a promising one indeed. Making a grand total of 35 appearances and netting ten league goals during the 2022 - 2023 season, the midfielder proved a valuable asset to his new club. As for the current season, 2024 - 2025, we patiently await what else Savoury might bring to the pitch for Queen's Park.
