Scottish-born Greg Kiltie, who was born on the 18th of January 1997, has made a name for himself as a talented midfielder, most frequently taking on the role of central attacking midfielder. Standing at 5ft 8in (1.73m) tall and weighing 11 stone (70kg), Kiltie currently plays for St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, where he dons the number 11 jersey.
Kiltie's journey through the intricacies of the beautiful game began in earnest in July 2012, when he joined Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership as a trainee. In his debut 2012-2013 season, Kiltie made one first-team appearance. This was the beginning of a career that saw him make regular appearances on the pitch, ranging from three matches in the 2018-2019 season to 35 during the 2015-2016 and the 2022-2023 seasons.
October of 2014 marked Kiltie's first foray into loan deals, as he transferred from Kilmarnock to Queen of the South in Scottish League One. During this time, he made three first-team appearances. This stint was brief, however, and he returned to Kilmarnock in the November of the same year.
More loan deals were to come for Kiltie. In January 2019, he moved to Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship as a loner, only to return to Kilmarnock in June that year. A similar pattern emerged when he took a loan deal with Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Championship in September 2019, returning to Kilmarnock in January the following year.
Every journey has its destination, and for Kiltie, that destination proved to be St Mirren. In July 2021, he transferred from Kilmarnock to St Mirren, where he currently continues to play. His games for the club continue to add up, kicking off with 25 appearances in the 2021-2022 season through to 16 so far in the current 2024-2025 season. Each moment on the pitch represents another chapter in the career of a player defined by tenacity and ever-honed skill.
