Born on the 6th of December 1997, Gregor Kobel is a Swiss national goalkeeper for Borussia Dortmund. Standing tall at 1.93m (6ft 3in) and weighing 90kg (14st 2lb), he commands the field from his position between the posts with his solid frame. In complement to his defensive abilities, his prowess is noted across the football community, whilst he wears the number 1 jersey with earned pride.

In the wake of the succeeding transfer season, in July 2021, Borussia Dortmund invested heavily in Kobel, securing his services from Stuttgart for a significant amount of £14m. From the 2021 - 2022 season through the current 2024 - 2025 season, Kobel has maintained a strong presence in the team, with a total of 89 first team appearances in league matches.
In line with his national service, and adding yet another glorious chapter to his career, he has represented Switzerland in the Euro Qualifiers 2022 - 2024 and the Nations League 2024 - 2025. In the same vein, his club appearances for Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League 2023 - 2024 and 2024 - 2025 continue to build upon his growing reputation.
