Jake Doyle-Hayes, born in the Republic of Ireland on the 30th of December 1998, is a footballer who takes on the role of a central defensive midfielder. He's currently plying his trade at Hibernian. Standing a modest 5ft 10in tall and tipping the scales at 12st 3lb, Doyle-Hayes dons the number 8 shirt for his side.
Hailing from the youth ranks at Aston Villa back in July 2014, Doyle-Hayes wasted no time in making his way around English football clubs. He had a stint at Cambridge United in League One on loan from January 2019, followed by another loan spell at Cheltenham Town in League Two from August 2019.
Making the trek up north in November 2020, Doyle-Hayes found himself at St Mirren in Scotland’s top-flight league. His debut season in the 2020/2021 term saw him pull up his socks for 22 instances on the pitch, even managing to hit the back of the net once.
From the Saints, Doyle-Hayes made the move to Hibernian, still within the Premiership, in July 2021. In the 2021/2022 season, he was called upon for first team duty 34 times and found success with two goals. This was followed by 17 appearances in the 2022/2023 season. The subsequent 2023/2024 season witnessed him taking to the field just once, while the current 2024/2025 season has yet to see him don his boots for a first team game.
