Marco Brescianini, born on the 20th of January 2000 in Italy, currently plies his trade as a central defensive midfielder for Serie A club Atalanta. Standing at around 6ft 2in (1.88m) and weighing 11st 6lb (73kg), Brescianini cuts an imposing figure on the pitch, wearing the number 44 shirt. He has also had the honour of representing his country at international level.
According to Transfermarkt, Brescianini's current market value is approximately £6.7m. His contract with Atalanta will run for another 9 months and is due to expire on the 30th of June 2025.
Brescianini had quite a humble beginning to his football career, joining AC Milan as a trainee in July 2016. His debut season at AC Milan in 2019-2020 was largely uneventful, with just one first team appearance in league matches.
In September 2020, he was loaned from AC Milan to Serie C club Entella. During the 2020 - 2021 season at Entella, Brescianini got to establish himself more prominently on the pitch, making 29 first team appearances and scoring two goals in league matches.
Continuing the trajectory of loan moves, Bresicani moved on loan to Monza, another Serie A club, in July 2021. However, his stint at Monza was fairly limited, with only five first team appearances in the 2021 - 2022 season.
August 2022 saw another move for Brescianini, this time on loan to Serie B club Cosenza. This proved to be a more fruitful period in his career, with 37 first team appearances and three goals in the 2022 - 2023 season.
Now prepared to make a permanent move from AC Milan, Brescianini transferred to Frosinone, a Serie B team, in July 2023 for an undisclosed fee. His time at Frosinone was solid, playing 36 matches and scoring four goals in the 2023 - 2024 season.
Now, we find Brescianini on loan at yet another Serie A team, this time Atalanta. Currently in the 2024 - 2025 season, he's already made six first team appearances and scored two goals in league matches.
Brescianini's international career has also been progressing alongside his club career. Most recently, he participated in the 2024 - 2025 Nations League for Italy, making two appearances as a substitute.
