Marcus Fraser, a Scottish professional footballer, was born on 23 June 1994 (now 30 years old). He operates mainly as a central defender for St Mirren Football Club. Fraser stands at 1.84m (6ft) and weighs in at 82kg (12st 12lb), sporting the number 22 jersey with distinction.
Starting his career as a trainee, Fraser joined Celtic in the Scottish Premiership in July 2012. His maiden 2012 - 2013 campaign at the Hoops saw him making a solitary first team appearance in league matches, a modest beginning to his professional journey.
In search of more match time, Fraser embarked on a loan spell with Cowdenbeath, a club in the Lowland League. This stint materialized in September 2014 and Fraser managed to play 11 league matches for the Blue Brazil in the 2014 - 2015 season.
January 2015 marked a pivotal point in Fraser's career as he transferred from Celtic to Ross County in the Scottish Premiership. The same season saw him make 16 appearances and score his first league goal. This was to be the start of an extended and successful stay with the Staggies. Fraser racked up quite a record in terms of league appearances, amassing totals of 29, 32, 38 and 26 in successive seasons right up to 2019 - 2020, and netting a goal apiece in 2014 - 2015 and 2019 - 2020.
Fraser's successful run at Ross County paved the way for a transfer to St Mirren, also in the Scottish Premiership, in July 2020. His tenure with the 'Buddies' has been marked by consistent performances, recording 37, 36, 34 and 38 league appearances respectively in the four seasons from 2020-2024. Fraser added to his tally of goals as well, finding the net once in each of the seasons 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2023-2024. As of the current 2024-2025 season, Fraser has already notched up 32 league appearances for St Mirren.
While his league game-time has been commendable, Fraser's contributions have extended to other competitive fixtures as well. In the 2024-2025 season, he participated in the League Cup for St Mirren, making one start. He also made his presence felt in the Scottish Cup, with two starts, and featured in the Conference League Qualifiers, making a total of four starts.
