Mark O'Hara, born on the 12th of December 1995 in Scotland, is an adept midfielder who takes up a central role on the pitch for St Mirren. Standing at 6ft 2in (approximately 1.88m), and weighing in at around 12st 8lb (about 80 kg), he sports the number 6 jersey for the club. At the time of writing, O'Hara's market value hovers in the region of €800k. Stripped down to pounds, and rounding off half-way, we're talking about £675k, according to Transfermarkt. His current contract with St Mirren is set to run out on the 31st of May 2026, with a shade over eighteen months remaining.
O'Hara first cut his teeth in the Scottish Premiership, signing on as a trainee with Kilmarnock in July 2012. During his maiden season, 2012-2013, he chalked up 17 appearances, slotting home on one occasion. Over his subsequent seasons at the club, he notched up a reliable tally of appearances, timed at 14, 18 and 29 over seasons 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively.
Having demonstrated a certain flair, O'Hara traded Kilmarnock's colours for those of Dundee, securing a transfer in July 2016. Proving his versatility in the Premiership, he racked up 28 and 32 appearances in the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons, respectively, augmenting his burgeoning reputation with a commendable haul of ten goals over the two seasons.
July 2018 brought a fresh challenge along with a change of scenery, as a move to England's League One beckoned. Peterborough United were the beneficiaries of his signature, but not before he had a couple of loan spell, first at Lincoln City in January 2019, followed by a season-long stint at Motherwell. In his two seasons with Motherwell, he made solid contributions with 44 appearances and scored six goals before eventually becoming a permanent fixture in July 2020.
After establishing himself at Motherwell for a further two seasons, marking his place on the score sheet six times in 46 matches, O'Hara returned to Scottish Premiership in July 2022, donning the St Mirren colours. He has since been boosting his career stats with a commendable sum of 80 appearances, netting 18 times for the Saints so far. His exploits on the pitch also saw him turn out for St Mirren in the 2024-2025 Conference League Qualifiers, where he added a continental goal to his expanding repertoire.
