Max Kucheriavyi, born on the 9th of May, 2002 in Ukraine, is a prominent forward who currently plays primarily as a right winger for St Johnstone. Standing at 5ft 6in (1.69m) and weighing in at 10st 3lb (65kg), Kucheriavyi favours the number 17 jersey. However, this young player's reputation doesn't rest solely on his physical prowess, but also on his rapidly developing career, with St Johnstone counting heavily on his contribution.
Kucheriavyi made the move to St Johnstone in Scotland's Premiership in January 2021. In his debut season of 2022-2023, he had a humble start with just four appearances in first team's league matches. However, it did not take him long to prove his worth. The following 2023-2024 season saw him appearing 28 times for St Johnstone, netting two goals in the bargain. Despite his promising progress, the current season of 2024-2025 has seen him bereft of any first team appearances in league matches.
Adding to his professional repertoire, Kucheriavyi was transferred from St Johnstone to Brechin City in Scotland's Highland League on loan in July 2021. This was followed by yet another loan in February 2022 to Kelty Hearts, a team participating in the League One in Scotland. Both loan spells, however, proved to be transient experiences, as he returned to St Johnstone in June 2022 on completion of his tenure.
The February of 2023 witnessed an additional transfer of Kucheriavyi. His destination this time around was Falkirk, a stalwart in the Championship in Scotland, where he managed a modest four first-team appearances with a single goal to his credit in the season. Once again, his journey came full circle as he returned to St Johnstone from Falkirk in June 2023 following the completion of his loan.
To top off his ever impressive CV, Kucheriavyi has also been involved in the League Cup games in the 2024-2025 season with two substitute appearances for St Johnstone. Moreover, he also has one starting appearance in the Scottish Cup of 2023-2024 for St Johnstone under his belt. His journey is far from over, and in the world of Scottish football, Kucheriavyi is rapidly carving out a niche for himself.
