Mikael Mandron, a French striker, was born on 11th October 1994. He currently plays for St Mirren in Scotland, sporting the number 9 jersey. He is a tall figure on the field, standing at 6ft 3in (1.91m) and weighing in at 12st 12lb (82kg).
Mandron began his career in English football, joining Sunderland as a trainee in the Championship in July 2011. The Frenchman's debut season in 2012-2013 saw him make two first team appearances in league matches, with an additional appearance in the 2014-2015 season.
In the interim period, Mandron served several loan spells, initially transferring to Fleetwood Town in January 2014 where he made 11 first team appearances and scored one goal. In January 2015, he moved to Shrewsbury Town on loan, managing three first team appearances during his tenure. A final loan to Hartlepool United in November 2015 saw Mandron make five first team appearances.
Mandron permanently departed Sunderland in July 2016, joining Eastleigh in the National League where he had a more significant impact, making 28 first team appearances and scoring a commendable ten goals. His prowess did not go unnoticed, and he transferred to Wigan Athletic in the League One in January 2017 for an undisclosed fee. However, his stint at Wigan was short-lived with only three first team appearances to his name during the 2016-2017 season.
July 2017 saw Mandron move to Colchester United where he found the back of the net eight times in 28 appearances. After two fruitful seasons, Mandron transferred to Gillingham in July 2019. Here, he had a rather unimpressive stint, scoring just one goal in 23 appearances in the 2022-2023 period. A brief period at Crewe Alexandra in August 2020 was followed by a return to Gillingham which bore a striking resemblance with his previous tenure, one goal from 23 appearances.
Finally, in January 2023, he made his move to Scottish football, starting with Motherwell. Ten appearances and one goal set the stage for his later transfer to St Mirren in July 2023. Since then, Mandron has made considerable contributions to the team, netting eight goals in 35 appearances in the 2023-2024 season, and notching one more in eight appearances in the current 2024-2025 season. His performance in League Cup 2024-2025, Scottish Cup 2023-2024, and Conference League Qualifiers 2024-2025 further cemented his place in the team and in the hearts of the Scottish fans.
