Moussa Dembele, born on 12 July 1996 in France, strides the pitch as a forward for Al-Ettifaq. He stands at 6ft and tips the scales at 12st 6lb.
In his premier year with Al-Ettifaq, the 2023 - 2024 season, he featured in 25 matches where he notched 12 goals; 24 of these appearances were starts while once he walked in as a substitute.
The Frenchman's journey in football took off with Fulham in the English Premier League in July 2012. Four years later, in July 2016, Celtic secured his services from Fulham for a cool £500k.
A stint at Celtic followed, where Dembele donned the green and white hoops for several seasons. This culminated in a high profile transfer to Lyon in the French Ligue 1 in August 2018 for a commanding sum of £20m.
With Dembele's time at Celtic now a part of history, the striker moved temporarily to Atletico Madrid in Spain's LaLiga in January 2021, before returning to Lyon at the end of his loan period that June.
Following another sojourn at Lyon, Dembele then moved on to Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Arabian Professional League in July 2023.
Season-wise, the periods from 2014 - 2016 saw Dembele make a name for himself at Fulham with a total of 56 first team appearances and striking 15 goals in 2015 - 2016.
However, it was his spell at Celtic between 2016 - 2018 that solidified Dembele's place in Scottish football folklore. Over two full seasons, he chalked up 54 first team appearances, consistently finding the back of the net to record an impressive tally of 26 goals. This was followed by a single appearance in the 2018 - 2019 season.
Post Celtic, Dembele had a series of appearances at Lyon with 76 first team appearances and scored a total of 32 goals between 2018 - 2021. A brief stint at Atletico Madrid in the 2020 - 2021 season yielded five appearances.
His second spell at Lyon from 2021 - 2023 saw him make 53 first team appearances and score 24 goals.
