Nohan Kenneh, born 10th January 2003 in Liberia, is a 22-year-old defensive midfielder who primarily operates in the central midfield position for Ross County. Standing at a respectable height of 6ft 2in (1.9m), and weighing in at approximately 12st 6lb (79kg), the athletic Kenneh is easy to spot on the pitch, anchoring the pitch as he dons the number 42 jersey.
His journey with British football began back in July 2018, when he joined Leeds United in England's Championship as a trainee. Despite being a part of the club for his debut season in 2021 - 2022, Kenneh was unable to make any first team appearances in league matches. His time in Leeds was a crucial growth period for the young Liberian, carving out his potential in the robust nature of English football.
A shift in Kenneh's career occurred in July 2022 when he made the journey north, transferring from Leeds United to Scotland's Premiership side, Hibernian. During his 2022 - 2023 season with Hibernian, Kenneh marked his debut in Scottish football with 15 first team appearances and a goal to his name in the league matches.
Further enhancing his Scotland experience, Kenneh was loaned out to Ross County in January 2023. He continued his consistent form in his new club, making a solid 16 appearances for Ross County in the remainder of the 2022 - 2023 season.
By June 2023, Kenneh retraced his steps back to Hibernian, following the completion of his loan period at Ross County. However, the charm of international experience beckoned him, and in July 2023, Kenneh found himself back in England, loaned to Shrewsbury Town in League One.
His time at Shrewsbury Town ended by June 2024, and Kenneh returned to Scotland, and indeed, Hibernian. As the 2022 - 2023 season reiterated, Kenneh indeed left his mark in Scottish football, with 15 first team appearances and a goal credited to him. Hibernian seemed to provide the right growth environment for Kenneh.
As recent history would have it, in January 2025, Kenneh was once again loaned out from Hibernian to Ross County, where he currently plies his trade. Embarking on his 2024 - 2025 season with Ross County, Kenneh has already chalked up three first team appearances in league matches.
Much like his journeying career, Kenneh is a player constantly on the move, adapting, and showcasing his talent within the UK football sphere. A career worth pondering upon, indeed.
