Peter Urminsky, hailing from Slovakia and born on the 24 May 1999, is a goalkeeper currently positioned at St Mirren. Standing at 6ft 4in (1.95m) and weighing in at 13st 5lbs (85kg), he dons the number 27 jersey with aplomb.
In July 2016, Urminsky took the leap and joined Spartak Trnava, stepping onto the pitch of the First Football League in Slovakia. The year 2020 marked a new chapter in his career as he transferred from Spartak Trnava to the Scottish Premiership team, St Mirren. However, Urminsky's time at St Mirren has seen him get limited play time. In his debut season of 2022 - 2023, he made but a solitary first team appearance in league matches, and so far in the current 2024 - 2025 season, no such appearances have been recorded.
St Mirren provided Urminsky with an opportunity to continue his craft while on loan to Ayr United in the Championship in Scotland in February 2021, only to return him in June 2021. Following his return, Urminsky again geared up for action, ready for the challenges the Scottish turf held for him.
Once more, in January 2022, Urminsky was loaned to Stenhousemuir from the Scottish Premiership; however, this particular venture was short-lived as he returned to St Mirren just a month later. A similar saga unfolded in February 2022, whereby he was handed yet another loan to Stenhousemuir, only to be returned in March of the same year. In a somewhat perplexing repetition of moves, Urminsky was once more transferred from St Mirren to Stenhousemuir on loan in March 2022, before being shifted back in June 2022.
With each return, Urminsky picked up his game where he left off, proving his worth on the field. However, his appearances in the first team were numbered, with only one showing in his debut season of 2022 - 2023 and none so far in the 2024 - 2025 season. The pendulum-like movement between clubs certainly lends an element of uncertainty to his career trajectory. Regardless of the team for which he plays, Urminsky always pours his all into the game, showcasing his love for the sport with every match.
