Robert Mak, a forward predominantly deployed as a left winger for Slovan Bratislava, was born on the 8th of March, 1991 in Slovakia. He stands at 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall and weighs approximately 11st 2lb (71kg). He sports the number 21 jersey for his club. Mak embarked on his football journey with Nuremberg in the 2. Bundesliga, Germany in July 2010, where he made a striking debut in the first team with 22 appearances and scoring three goals. His tenure with Nuremberg spanned for four seasons, during which he made regular appearances and managed to total six goals.
In July 2014, he transferred to PAOK in the Super League, Greece for an undisclosed fee. He spent three fruitful seasons there, racking up 75 first team appearances and scoring 16 goals altogether.
July 2016 saw Mak transferred to Zenit in the Premier League, Russia for a fee of approximately £3m. Despite an initial burst of form in his first season with 17 appearances and four goals, his subsequent seasons saw a decline in his presence on the field with diminishing goal tallies.
A loan spell at PAOK in the Super League, Greece began in July 2017. Despite the change of surroundings, his track record mirrored a similar pattern as his tenure at Zenit, with 75 first team appearances and 16 goals across three seasons.
Upon his return to Zenit at the end of his loan spell in June 2018, Mak's status on the team remained minimal, as mirrored in his performances during his previous stay. His goal tally amounted to six across three seasons.
In January 2020, Mak transferred to Konyaspor in the Süper Lig, Turkey and his stint was brief and he made only four appearances in league matches with no goals to his name.
From Turkey, his next move was to Ferencvaros in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, Hungary in September 2020. He played there for two seasons and managed to score four goals in 32 appearances.
August 2022 marked a significant change for Mak as he transferred to Sydney FC in the A-League, Australia, where his track record took a positive turn. Over two seasons, Mak tallied an impressive total of 17 goals in 48 appearances.
Currently, in the 2024-2025 season, Mak has returned to his native Slovakia to play for Slovan Bratislava in the First Football League.
