Born on the 10th of August 2007 and hailing from Scotland, Rory Whittaker at the tender age of 17, has carved out a niche for himself in the football world as a staunch defender typically operating as a right back. He currently plies his trade for The Spartans, standing at an impressive 5 feet 10 inches (1.78m) and tipping the scales at 10 stones 12 lbs (69kg).
In July 2022, Whittaker was welcomed into the ranks of Hibernian, a well-established club in Scotland's Premiership. His debut season (2023 - 2024) with Hibernian saw him make a descent onto the first team, making a commendable 11 appearances in league matches. However, it was clear from the outset that his time at Hibernian would be a stepping stone, rather than a final destination.
Indeed, in August 2024, Whittaker found himself on the move again, this time on loan from Hibernian to The Spartans in the League Two of Scotland. In the current season (2024 - 2025), despite its infancy, Whittaker has not wasted time in proving his worth, with seven first team appearances in the league to his name.
His performance for The Spartans in the League Cup 2024 - 2025 has also been noteworthy - though he only made one appearance, it was in the heart of the action, coming on as a substitute. Though still very much a young player with much to learn, it is clear that Rory Whittaker has a bright future ahead of him in the world of Scottish football.
