Ross Docherty, born 23 January 1993 (age 32), is a Scottish professional footballer. He currently plays as a central defensive midfielder for Dundee United, and is adorned with the number 23 on his back. Docherty is 5ft 9in (1.76m) tall and weighs 11st 2lb (71kg).

The journey of Docherty's professional football career began in July 2010 when he joined Livingston. His first season saw him make one appearance for the first team in league matches. The following seasons from 2011 to 2014 saw his appearances increase, but he remained periphery figure at the club.
