Ross MacIver, a sturdy striker born on 28 February 1998 in Scotland, exemplifies the unrelenting nature of Scottish football. Currently, he is showing his prowess at Falkirk where he adorns the number 9 jersey. This 6ft (1.84m) force of nature weighs in at a solid 11st 11lb (75kg).
His journey through the world of football has been one of continuous discovery and progress. In July 2017, he took the leap from amateur to professional football, joining Ross County, a team then contending in Scotland's Premiership. Proving his mettle there, his abilities caught the attention of clubs across the countries.
He entered 2018 with a stint at Forfar Athletic on a loan deal, exchanging the grandeur of the Premiership for the raw competitiveness of Scotland's League Two. Six impressive months later saw him return to Ross County in June of the same year, his stock as a player considerably higher.
After another worthwhile loan spell, this time at Elgin City in the early months of 2019, MacIver showcased his talent at Motherwell, a Premiership mainstay, later in August 2019. His time at Motherwell, despite limited appearances, cannot be overlooked. It was here he matured as a player and honed his abilities. He netted one goal from seven appearances in 2019 - 2020 season and made one appearance the following season.
Temporary spells ensued at Greenock Morton and Partick Thistle, allowing MacIver to gather more experience and showcase his worth to the right kind of clubs and managers. His cumulative experiences led to a coveted transfer to Falkirk in the Scottish Championship in July 2023, where he currently holds forth.
In his debut season at Falkirk, MacIver has already made his mark with five appearances and a goal. Furthermore, his performances in the League Cup 2024 - 2025, where he notched four goals in just six appearances, and the Scottish Cup 2023 - 2024 with one start show the potency of the forward.
Moreover, worth mentioning is his contract which promises he will continue to display his skill set at Falkirk until at least May 31st, 2027, much to the delight of Falkirk fans.
