Rudi Molotnikov, a Scottish-born midfielder, celebrates his birthday on the 23rd of May; he turned 18 in 2024. He currently plies his trade for Hibernian as a central attacking midfielder. The lad is quite impressive on the field, standing 5ft 10in tall (1.79m) and weighing in at a healthy 10st 5lb (66kg). If you're watching a Hibs match, you'll likely see him wearing the number 35 jersey.
Molotnikov's journey with Hibs started in July 2021 when he joined the club in the Scottish Premiership. His initial foray into first team action came during the 2023 - 2024 season where he made three appearances in league matches.
In February 2024, a twist in his career path saw him depart Hibernian for Stirling Albion, a club in Scotland's League Two, on a loan agreement. After gaining more experience with Stirling Albion, he returned back to his parent club, Hibernian, in June 2024 after the end of his loan deal.
Returning to his second season at Hibernian (2024-2025), he showed significant improvement by featuring in six league matches. His contribution wasn't restricted to league play alone. He was a force in the League Cup 2024 - 2025, scoring an impressive two goals from four starts with a single substitute's appearance. In the previous season's Scottish Cup (2023 - 2024), he also managed to secure a starting spot once for Hibernian.
