Scott Tiffoney, born on the 26th of August 1998, is a sturdy Scottish lad hailing from Scotland, indeed. Standing 5ft 9in tall (1.76m) and tipping the scales at 11st (70kg), he primarily fills the boots of a right-winger. Currently, you can find him at Dundee, adorned in the number 7 jersey.
Valued at a rounded-down figure of £340k according to Transfermarkt, Tiffoney's contract with Dundee remains valid for another eight months, set for expiry on the 31st May, 2025.
Having embarked on his footballing journey at the youthful age of 18, Tiffoney cut his teeth at Greenock Morton during the 2016-2017 season. Despite being limited to only eight appearances in his debut year, he quickly established himself as a prominent figure within the team.
Simultaneously during that same season (what a busy lad, eh?), he was shuffled off to Clyde for a wee stint, making six appearances. Expanding his experience seemingly did the trick. Returning to Greenock Morton for the 2017-2018 season, young Tiffoney had 17 outings, netting the ball into the onions once.
His endeavours then caught the attention of Livingston (Scotland again, naturally), where he made himself cosy from the 2018-2019 season to the 2020-2021 season. While his appearance count varied from eight to a dozen during the seasons, he managed to tuck away three goals over the years.
Next stop, Partick Thistle, during the 2022-2023 season. With his finest performance yet, Tiffoney romped home nine goals within a hefty 25 appearances. Following this, he joined Dundee, helping them to a strong season (2023-2024) by appearing 28 times and capitalising on three occasions. For the ongoing 2024-2025 season, he's currently standing strong with two goals in nine appearances.
His exploits aren't merely confined within the boundaries of league matches. In the League Cup 2024-2025 season, Tiffoney saw Dundee through with one goal in four starts and two substitute appearances. In the previous season's Scottish Cup, he held his own with a single start. And, that’s Tiffoney for you. A determined, goal-chasing sportsman who sticks to his Scottish roots – what else would you expect from the lad, really?
