Tobi Oluwayemi, born on the 8th of May 2003 in England, stands as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in the game. Presently aged 21, Oluwayemi proudly dons the number 21 jersey for Dunfermline Athletic. Boasting a height of 6ft 1in (1.86m) and a weight of approximately 11st (70kg), he displays both the physical prowess and agility essential for the role between the sticks.
Oluwayemi embarked upon his professional journey in July 2019 when he joined Celtic in the Premiership as a trainee. Spending numerous seasons under the nurturing umbrella of the Bhoys, he honed his craft and grew as a player, maturing on and off the field.
In January 2023, he sought different pastures and embarked on a venture which materialised in the form of a loan move to Cork City in the First Division, Republic of Ireland. Although he made just two first team appearances in league matches during his debut season, it was an invaluable opportunity for Oluwayemi to experience different footballing environments and styles of play.
August 2023 saw another loan spell, this time to Admira Wacker Modling in Austria's 2. Liga. Here, he gained increased first-team exposure, with nine appearances in league matches through the course of the 2023-2024 season.
He returned to Scotland for the 2024-2025 season, this time pulling on the gloves for Dunfermline Athletic in the Championship on loan. Two appearances already earned in the ongoing league season and a start in the Challenge Cup 2024-2025, Oluwayemi fast establishes himself as a steadfast presence in goal.
With a multifaceted tutelage and a career already spanning multiple countries and leagues, Oluwayemi steadily anchors his reputation at home and abroad, eager to extend and apply his learnings from his time Celtic and beyond.
