Tom Sparrow, born in England on 3rd February 1998, is a skilful midfielder plying his trade for Motherwell, located in the Scottish Premiership. Standing at 1.77m (5ft 9in) tall and weighing 74kg (11st 9lb), Sparrow primarily operates in the central midfield birth and can be seen on the pitch proudly donning the number 7 jersey.
According to a recent evaluation by Transfermarkt, Sparrow commands a market value of roughly £85k. Not bad at all for a young lad who kick-started his footballing journey as a trainee back in 2018 with Stoke City, a Championship side in England.
In his debut season of 2021-2022 with Stoke, Sparrow managed to break into the senior team, gracing the pitch in league matches. The 2022-2023 season offered much of the same, with Sparrow stepping out twice for Stoke in league contests. Yet, it was clear the young midfielder needed more playing time, and in January 2023, he was loaned out to Hamilton Academical, a League One side in Scotland.
During his loan term at Hamilton Academical in the 2022-2023 season, Sparrow saw increased action, making 12 appearances in league matches. However, as June 2023 rolled around, his loan deal expired, and he returned to Stoke City in England. On his return, he received a nod to the first team, featuring in both the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons.
In July 2024, Sparrow made the move, set to leave his mark on the Scottish Premiership by transferring from Stoke City to Motherwell. The 2024-2025 season saw Sparrow becoming an important fixture in the Motherwell starting eleven, making 32 first team appearances and proving he had a decent shot too, netting 6 goals. His performance was even more pivotal in the current 2025-2026 season with him taking to the field 20 times in league matches for the Motherwell side.
Aside from tearing it up in the league, Sparrow has also been involved in Cup competitions. In the League Cup 2025-2026, he clocked up three starts along with three substitute appearances, and in the Scottish Cup 2025-2026, he also featured twice on the starting lineup.
