Topi Keskinen, born on 7 March 2003 in Finland, is a 21-year-old forward who primarily adopts the left wing for his play while plying his trade for Aberdeen. Standing tall at 5ft 10in (1.8m), he tips the scales at 11st 4lb (72 kg). His number 81 jersey shimmers on the pitch, as he has also proudly worn Finland's colours on an international level.
According to Transfermarkt, his current market value hovers around £1.5m. The clock is ticking down on his Aberdeen contract; with three years and seven months left, its expiration date is the 30th of June, 2028.
The young Fin started his career in the Kakkonen, playing for Mikkelin Palloilijat. However, he got his major break in January 2023, embarking on a journey with HJK in Finland's Veikkausliiga. A fruitful debut season saw 25 appearances for Keskinen, with two of those encounters punctuated by his goals. His constant improvements shone through in season 2024, as he netted seven goals in 17 matches.
Sailing onwards from HJK in August 2024, Keskinen found new waters in Scotland's Premiership, signing a crisp deal approximated at £860k with Aberdeen. This being the 2024-2025 ongoing season, he has made 13 domestic appearances, contributing three goals to the tally.
Furthermore, his run in the League Cup for Aberdeen and UEFA U21 Championship Qualifiers for Finland in the same season has been commendable. In the cup, he turned up thrice, starting once and substituting twice, each appearance accompanied by a goal. For his national side in the qualifiers, three starts yielded two goals.
