Vicente Besuijen, born 10th April 2001 (age 23) in Colombia, is a forward footballer who predominantly plays as a right winger for Aberdeen Football Club. He stands at 5ft 6in (1.7m) and tips the scales at 9st 12lb (approx. 63kg). He proudly bears the number 17 jersey on his back.
As it stands, his current market value circles around the £400k mark, according to Transfermarkt. The clock is ticking on his contract with Aberdeen, with the agreement running its course on the 31st May, 2026, which is merely 1 and a half year from today.
In August 2017, Besuijen started honing his football skills in earnest, signing up as a trainee with AS Roma in Italy's Serie A. His career took a northerly turn in August 2020 when he transferred from Roma to ADO Den Haag in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.
During his debut season (2020-2021) at ADO Den Haag, Besuijen had 30 first-team appearances and one goal in league matches to his name. His performance slightly improved in the subsequent year (2021-2022), where he made 22 appearances and struck the net six times.
His journey with ADO Den Haag ended in January 2022 when he was transferred to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. Across his partial 2021-2022 season and the following 2022-2023 campaign at Aberdeen, Besuijen made a total of 34 appearances and managed to slot in five goals.
A twist in his career happened in January 2023, as he was loaned to Excelsior in the Eerste Divisie back in Netherlands. However, his stint at Excelsior was relatively short, where he only made two appearances in league matches throughout the season. Besuijen re-joined Aberdeen in June 2023 after the completion of his loan period.
Despite his return to Pittodrie, he was again loaned out, this time to FC Emmen in the Eerste Divisie in January 2024. He made 15 appearances and struck five goals in league matches during this 2023-2024 season. His loan period ended in June 2024, and he returned to Aberdeen.
In his current 2024-2025 season with Aberdeen, Besuijen has made ten first-team appearances and scored twice. Moreover, he was also involved in the League Cup 2024-2025 for Aberdeen, with one start and three appearances as a substitute to his name.
