Not confined to domestic competition, Simons' has tasted action in the Champions League with RB Leipzig, scoring two goals over seven appearances, and has represented his country in the Euro 2024, and the subsequent qualifiers, netting once. He has also partaken in the Nations League of 2024 - 2025, scoring once in four starts for the Netherlands.
