Jimmy Johnstone made the first of 515 appearances for Celtic on March 27, 1963 in an away game against Kilmarnock. The teenage Celt, who had signed for the club in November 1961, did not enjoy the best of starts as the Hoops lost 6-0 at Rugby Park.
