Celtic FC Foundation are pleased to announce that Egan Construction LTD, a local company led by owners Bronik and Nicola Egan, has generously become the new sponsor of the acclaimed Lions’ View Sensory Room at Celtic Park. Egan Construction LTD, based in Cumbernauld, has been long term supporter of Celtic FC Foundation and Bronik, Nicola and the team are delighted to help to support this initiative. The sponsorship will run throughout the 2024/25 season, covering the management and operational costs of the Sensory Room. This specially designed facility provides a full matchday experience for children, young people, and adults with sensory needs, as well as groups with complex physical and learning needs. This support allows Celtic FC Foundation to continue offering this incredible matchday experience free of charge to all participants. Located in Celtic Park’s Lisbon Lions Stand, the pitch-facing facility opened in April 2019. It offers a safe and secure environment and viewing area on match days, with a capacity to host 14 people along with two Celtic FC Foundation staff members who support participants. At full capacity, around 200 children, young people, and adults will benefit from the matchday experience each season. Additionally, the facility can be used for midweek project sessions, significantly increasing the total number of potential annual beneficiaries. At matches with a late kick-off we utilise the space for people living with dementia who attend our Lions’ Lunch Breaks project. Following a visit to see the room Nicola Egan said: “It was evident when I visited the Sensory Room that much care and attention to detail had gone into creating this special room, and everyone at Egan Construction LTD is very proud to be part of it. There is always more that can be done to help raise awareness and hopefully this can inspire more clubs to offer similar environments. “Bronik and I have been regular contributors to Celtic FC Foundation, and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to sponsor the Sensory Room this year. It is a fantastic facility where guests, who would not usually be able to experience a home game, come along and enjoy the lovely atmosphere whilst having any additional needs catered for.” Celtic FC Foundation Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton expressed his gratitude, saying: “We are extremely grateful and would like to extend a sincere thank you to Bronik and Nicola at Egan Construction LTD for sponsoring the Lions’ View Sensory Room. This support will allow us to continue to make a real difference to a significant number of our supporters with sensory needs, as well as groups with complex physical and learning needs. “Egan Construction LTD have been a steadfast supporter of the Foundation over the years. Their decision to sponsor this project highlights the success we can achieve together and we look forward to continued collaboration in the future.” There is currently a waiting list for the Lions’ View Sensory Room on a match day.
